It's my dad's birthday on Sep 30th. But this year it's even more special because it's also his retirement day. If only he was born a day later, he'd be able to work for another year.
Saturday night we all (the family) had dinner out together at Kongju and Nabeya, located in Pathumwan Princess. They had Korean/Japanese all-you-can-eat buffet, both are my favourites. Food was nice. The hotel was under some sort of renovation so the view wasn't that good. Price was not so expensive. Worth a try.
Tomorrow I have to give my dad a lift to the airport. He's going to spend whole October in Tokyo as a guest lecturer at Keio University.

Ooh, we ate at Nabeya recently too, but it really was a spur-of-the-moment kind of thing. Because of the renovations that are currently going on at the Pathumwan Princess Hotel, the only available restrooms were at the Nabeya restaurant. So after using their restroom, we smelled the tantalizing food as we were walking out and thought, "What the heck," and tried it out. We were not disappointed. :)
Happy retirement day (AND birthday!) to your Dad!
